Description

Bijuve is a continuous combined form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), designed for postmenopausal women with an intact uterus who are experiencing symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, and vaginal dryness. It is the first and only oral HRT to combine bioidentical oestradiol (a plant-derived form of oestrogen) with bioidentical progesterone in a single daily capsule, offering a more natural hormone therapy option.

How It Works

Bijuve contains two hormones: oestradiol (a naturally occurring form of oestrogen) and micronised progesterone (a naturally occurring form of progesterone).

  • Oestradiol replenishes declining oestrogen levels during menopause, helping to relieve symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disturbances, and urogenital discomfort.

  • Progesterone protects the lining of the womb from overgrowth caused by oestrogen, reducing the risk of endometrial cancer.

Because Bijuve is a continuous combined therapy, both hormones are taken every day without a break, helping to prevent monthly withdrawal bleeds while maintaining symptom relief.

Why Choose Bijuve

  • Bioidentical hormones – identical in molecular structure to the body’s own hormones.

  • Convenient once-daily capsule with both oestradiol and progesterone combined.

  • Suitable for women seeking a more natural form of HRT while still benefiting from regulated prescription standards.

  • May improve tolerability for women who experience side effects with synthetic progestogens.

Important Note

Bijuve should only be taken under the guidance of a healthcare professional. It is not suitable for women with a history of hormone-dependent cancers, unexplained vaginal bleeding, untreated high blood pressure, blood clotting disorders, liver disease, or certain other medical conditions.
Long-term HRT use may be associated with increased risks, including cardiovascular events, stroke, and breast cancer. Risks and benefits should be reviewed regularly with your doctor.

Directions

  • Take one capsule by mouth once daily, preferably at the same time each day.

  • Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush.

  • Bijuve should be taken continuously without a break — start a new pack the day after finishing the previous one.

  • It can be taken with or without food.

  • If you forget a dose and it is within 12 hours of your usual time, take it as soon as you remember. If more than 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and continue as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

  • Always follow the instructions given by your doctor or pharmacist.
